Welcome to RentEase. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RentEase's website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Services"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Services.

2. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms.

• You are responsible for safeguarding the password
• You agree not to disclose your password to any third party
• You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security
• You may not use as a username the name of another person or entity

3. Property Listings

Landlords are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their property listings:

• All properties must be accurately described
• Photos must represent the actual property
• Pricing information must be transparent
• You must have the legal right to rent the property

4. Payments and Fees

RentEase charges a ₦5,000 fee for tenants to access landlord contact information:

• Payment is required before contact information is revealed
• Payments are non-refundable once contact information is accessed
• Contact access is valid for 3 months from payment date
• We use secure payment processors to handle all transactions

5. KYC Verification

All users must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification to ensure platform security:

• Tenants must provide valid NIN documentation
• Landlords must provide NIN, NEPA bill, and proof of ownership
• Documents are verified within 1-2 business days
• We maintain strict confidentiality of all documents

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make the Services available. The Services may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by us.

• Systematically retrieving data or other content
• Tricking, defrauding, or misleading other users
• Circumventing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with security-related features
• Engaging in unauthorized framing of or linking to the Services

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RentEase, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
